Birmingham, Ala. – ESPN has announced the TV network designation and start time for the 10th Annual 12/SEC Grand Challenge on January 28, 2023.

All 10 of the Big 12 pools and 10 of the SEC’s 14 institutions will participate in this year’s event.

The SEC won the ninth annual 12/SEC Grand Challenge by winning six out of 10 games on January 29, 2022. This is the second year in a row that the SEC has won the Challenge. The SEC has lost the Challenge only once in the past six years.

This will be the eighth year that the farewell schedule for the participating teams has been created to fit the one-day format. The first two years of the challenge took place over multiple days in November and December, but the final eight events were combined into a single January day. ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will combine to broadcast the competitions.
