4.7 and 5.3 magnitude earthquakes strike Baglung district of Nepal
KATHMANDU: Two earthquakes of magnitude 4.7 and 5.3 on the Richter scale hit Nepal hand bag in the early hours of Wednesday, according to the National Center for Earthquake Monitoring & Research (NEMRC), Nepal.
According to information from the center, a magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck around Adhikari Chaur of Baglung District at 01:23 (local time).
“A 4.7 ml earthquake occurred around Adhikari Chaur of Baglung district at 01:23 on 2079/09/13 NEMRC/DMG,” NEMRC tweeted.
The second earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 is believed to have struck around Khua of Baglung District at 02:07 (local time), NEMRC, Nepal tweeted.
“A 5.3 ml earthquake occurred around Khua of Baglung County at 02:07 on 09/20/13 NEMRC/DMG,” the tweet read.
There have been no reports of human or property damage.
