5 unique holiday movies that gamers will love
I am reporting myself as a tough (if more modern and beautiful than average) Scrooge: someone who rejects the holiday spirit. Due to a combination of unresolved anger and a distaste for the joys of others—I no longer see this as a character flaw but a divine arrangement—the holidays are a time I hate the most of the year. Even so, I won’t pass up the Merry Christmas screening of You have mail if the situation is serious enough.
Don’t hate the holiday movie, hate the holiday, as they say. However, I have my limits. I wouldn’t mind if I never saw it leprechaun again (although a part of me will always want to know what what does that chocolate syrup spaghetti taste like), and while I recognize sentimental classics like Charlie Brown’s Christmas and Miracle on 34th Street like movie theaters, they make me feel like I’ve been eating chocolate spaghetti since leprechaun.
To get me in the mood, I’d rather join in something more subtle and emotionally complex than a bookmarksPrefer Batman: Origins of Arkham. It may be unconventional, but it’s also my preference for holiday movies. Although many people are drawn to the old (or more recent, die hard), there are many unusual things holiday movies to love and cherish. Here are five that I would recommend to gamers or anyone really tired of their holiday routine to check out.
Frozen Jack (1998)
Just to be clear, just because I recommend a movie doesn’t necessarily mean it’s “good”. At least, not in the traditional sense.

The case at point is Frozen Jack, a movie in which Michael Keaton turns into a snowman. It’s not a “good” movie, but it will test your grasp of reality, especially if you choose to be influenced by eggnog this holiday season. The plot is pretty simple: Keaton transforms into a snowman, eventually learns to bond with his son even though he’s made of snow now, and is forced to face melting reality. Its core values would mark it as a fun-filled holiday movie, more typically if its plot hadn’t forced Michael Keaton to turn into a snowball with round eyes, instead, what it was. This makes it a funny group follow-up movie. It may even remain sincere, if its use Landslide song by Fleetwood Mac will eventually hit you properly after you’ve drunk all that eggnog.
When I read this movie to remind myself of the plot before writing about it, I was surprised to find out it wasn’t a horror movie, as it terrified me as a child. But I’m happy to announce that there’s actually a killer movie with the same name and very similar premise (snowman) from 1997, if that’s your speed. However, I don’t know if it uses “Landslide”.

Better be careful (2016)
Better be careful, on the other hand, is a horror break through. Like my life, it’s about a main character named Ashley. Unlike my life, Better be careful‘s Ashley (Olivia DeJonge) has trouble babysitting Luke (Levi Miller), a 12-year-old boy who is evil in more ways than the average high school kid.
But the baby’s deadly antics are punctuated by a lot of Christmas goofs – people tied up in string lights, holiday sweaters that warm the depraved kids in the movies, the The wreath on the stairs made the quiet, sparkling suburb feel awkward amidst all of Luke’s bad behavior. Just a little bit Home alone and a little Screamingcheerful and cheerful.

Invasion of the United States (1985)
Invasion of the United States doing 80s action movies, carnivores, Blue Thunder, First Blood stuff, and make it three important factors a) the US government is awesome and solid, b) American men are awesome and sure, c) explosions.
Unfortunately, not like predator, blue thunder, and First Blood, Invasion of the United States not trying to lure you in with the plot at all. The story was stereotypical, Chuck Norris needed to stop the Soviet Union and terrorists alone, an exploding school bus, etc. It was criticized when it came out — Roger Ebert humorously called it is a “stupid, brain-damaging horror film” in his 1985 review. But since then, either because of finding comfort in simple, careless politics or the undeniable brilliance of a good explosion, in which there are many In this movie, Invasion of the United States turned into a cult classic, safely escorted in history by Chuck Norris with a big gun. Yes, it’s brain dead. But, as we discussed, you have eggnog.

When did Harry meet Sally (1989)
Despite all my words about being cold and indifferent to the holidays, When did Harry meet Sally is my all time favorite holiday movie. Even the Grinch’s heart beatsYou know.
And who am I to turn down a film as perfect, messy and human as this one? It took Harry Burns (Billy Crystal) and Sally Albright (Meg Ryan) a decade, from college in Chicago to growing up in New York City, to uncover the truth about whether men and women have sex. can be “just you”. In their case, maybe not, but they can certainly love passionately and for a long time, in the bookstore, on the Upper West Side, and under the white lights at a New Year’s party. This one is for stubborn, sensitive people.

green knight (2021)
In a rare twist of a medieval film, green knight very faithful to its source material, the anonymous Arthurian legend Sir Gawain and the green knight. For this reason, it can prove to be a confusing watch if you are not already familiar with the story, and although I can hardly do addition and subtraction, for the first time in my life I know very well. Thank you for learning to read medieval English at university.
But while familiarity helps, you don’t need to be trained to see that Dev Patel breathes new life into the centuries-old epic as Sir Gawain, a Knight of the Round Table whose arrogance threatens to contaminate what he wants more than anything — honor.
From Christmas to Christmas, Gawain wanders the verdant world of fairy tales, where ghosts, a fox, and temptation lure and confuse him on his way to the Green Knight, a man. the enchanted man will fulfill his destiny, or maybe just his death. It’s a brain’s dark fantasy, a reason to consider Christmas’ long and bloody history and how you fit it.
