Aamir Khan announced a hiatus from acting. Saying he wants to be with his family
Actor Aamir Khan made a rare public appearance this week. He was attending a friend’s event in Delhi and engaged in a conversation. During the chat, he opened up about his career and revealed that he is taking a break from acting.
Aamir Khan shared that he will be taking a hiatus after the release of his last film Laal Singh Chaddha. As reported on a leading portal, he said, “When I was filming as an actor, I was so lost that nothing else happened in my life. I was going to make a movie after Laal Singh Chaddha called Champions. It’s a great script, a great story, and it’s a very touching and lovely movie. But I feel that I want to rest, be with my family, with my mother and with my children.”
He added: “I feel like I’ve been working for 35 years and just focus on my work. I feel it’s unfair to the people close to me. This is when I feel I have to take less time off. to be with them and really experience life in a different way. I’m looking forward to next year, a year and a half where I’m not working as an actor.”
He further shared that he will be participating as a producer for Champions. Aamir Khan’s last big screen appearance – Laal Singh Chaddha also featured Kareena Kapoor Khan as the official Indian adaptation of Forrest Gump. The film opened up to average reviews.
