It’s no secret about the power of scent, other than to bring back childhood memories or tell our bodies it’s time for dinner. Aromatherapy—the therapeutic use of aromas and essential oils—has been used for centuries as a holistic treatment to promote physical, mental, and physiological health. While it may seem like a method reserved only for health retreats and day spas, it goes beyond that. With the help of a diffuser and some high-quality essential oils, you can harness the power of aromatherapy right at home. Exactly every nook and cranny of it.

Aera’s powerful aromatherapy diffusers are the essentials to achieving “ambient scent” aromatherapy at the touch of a button, all without leaving your home. While candles and air fresheners are great at making small spaces in our homes smell nice, Aera’s diffusers take scent diffusion to the next level, transforming your entire house or apartment into a fragrant (and pleasant) space. And luckily for us, they’re 40% off now through Tuesday, July 4th.

What makes the Aera diffuser so unique

Unlike traditional diffusers that disperse scents in a local fog, the Aera diffuser uses unique micro-droplet technology to spread all the air around your home up to 1,000 square feet. . While other products use water to release a scent that Aera calls a “hot spot” “fragrance” (small, localized radius that surrounds a physical diffuser), Aera distributes the tiny scent droplets evenly. , sprayed directly into the air to create a consistent scent you can smell everywhere room. Basically, with this technology, the fragrance is distributed more evenly. Overall, these droplets—50 times smaller than conventional scent molecules—are released into the air more evenly for a better, cleaner, and more immersive fragrance.

Aera’s perfumes are also different. The first are transparent components; All Aera scents are created with high quality essential oils, are hypoallergenic and safe for the whole family, including furry friends. They are made from a blend of safe natural and synthetic essential oils, the latter of which are used when natural alternatives are known to cause allergies, are harmful to the environment, or have not been approved by the International Fragrance Association. allow. Plus, all the scents are completely vegan and cruelty-free.

The second is how they are packaged. Each perfume is contained in an aluminum capsule that disperses scent molecules without the aid of any water or additives. Capsules vary in size, depending on the model you purchase; however, most end up being a huge number 60 days—and that’s based on the machine “playing” 10 hours a day at medium intensity. Impressive isn’t it?

Most of However, the impression is how fragrant the scent is. Aera has several scent collections for every mood and scent, including exclusive partnerships with well-known brands like The Laundress, Skylar Clean Beauty and Monique Lhuillier. In terms of functional fragrances, Aera has an extended line of aromas blended for its health benefits, with delicate scents formulated to relax, energize, calm, revitalize and focus body and mind.

My review of the Aera . diffuser

Frankly, I thought microdroplet technology was a bunch of marketing jargon, but Aera really proved me wrong. I live in a small farmhouse, and while my rooms are empty super apart, I could smell my Aera diffuser from where it was in my living room, down the hallway, and into the entrance to my bedroom and office. I find the scent a bit stronger in my living room, but I find wherever I roam — the bathroom, the kitchen, the guest bedroom — I still get subtle wisps of smoke from the diffuser. His canopy is active and creates an immersive aromatherapy. Experience dual action in masking unwanted scents.

To use it, all I had to do was plug it in, drop the capsule in and press “on” — the Aera instantly diffuses the scent. The biggest difference compared to other diffusers I’ve tested is that no additional water is required, water is usually the catalyst for the scent to really spread into the air. Aera bypasses the fog and diffuses those small scent molecules directly into the air, which is what makes it so powerful. If I want to change the “vibe”, doing so is easy—just stop the machine, take out the current capsule, and swap in another one. I fluctuated between “Revive” ($65), an invigorating blend of juniper, rosemary and grapefruit that’s great for waking the brain, and “Deep Relax” ($65), which uses chamomile and vetiver to calm and soothe the body.

What’s even better is that I can adjust the Aera settings on my phone so that the scent of my dreams is waiting for me when I get home. Both the Aera and Aera Mini (originally $95, now $57) are compatible with the AeraForHome app (available on iOS and Android) and serve as your personal control system for the device. —even when you’re not near it. Whether I’m going for a walk or coming home from a weekend away, I can set a “scent schedule” to automatically turn my Aera on and off. I can also adjust the scent settings to be stronger or weaker, depending on my mood. And most importantly, it lets me know when I’m running out of favorite scents. If stock is running low, I can order directly through the Aera app. Easy as pie.

final thought

Normally, the full-size Aera diffuser retails for $199, which I admit is a bit pricey. Considering the capsules are sold separately for $60 to $65 each ($54 if you sign up), this is definitely a more luxurious purchase. But with all its perks — micro-droplet technology, hypoallergenic capsules, application — it’s worth considering, especially if you’re like me and love the smell, rub, smell. Even more encouraging is the fact that the diffuser is 40% off this week only, which is almost never the case. I definitely recommend buying this luxury diffuser, but recommend doing so much more when you can get it on sale. After all, the more money you save, the more scents you can squander.
