Alan Wake 2 will be digital only to keep prices under $70
Remedy Entertainment revealed that Alan Wake 2 will be the only digital release across all platforms.
in one Frequently asked questions page on the Alan Wake websiteRemedy explains, “There are many reasons for this. First, a large number has gone digital-only. You can buy a Sony PlayStation 5 without a drive, and Microsoft’s Xbox Series S is a digital console. It’s not uncommon to release modern games as digital only.”
The remedy continues by saying that not releasing the disc helps keep the price of the game at $60 on consoles and $50 on PC. The studio didn’t want to send discs and ask to download the game because it wouldn’t be a great experience. There are also currently no plans to produce a physical copy of Alan Wake.
Alan Wake 2 FAQ. The game is digital only due to a large number of people going digital only and helps keep the price at $59.99/$49.99. They also don’t want to send discs asking for download https://t.co/bCWQToOlLT pic.twitter.com/RX54tqfoE3

Since the standard version of the game is kept at a lower price point, the digital Deluxe version will cost $70. It includes an expansion card containing the Night Springs Expansion and the Lake House Expansion, a congressman shotgun skin and famous suit for Alan, as well as a nordic shotgun skin, crimson windbreaker, and a lantern charm for the Saga .
Those who pre-order the game will receive an ornate revolver skin for Alan and a survival resource pack for Saga.
It is interesting to see some publishers refusing to raise prices for new releases, as others like Nintendo and Microsoft have done with The The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom And failure, corresponding. However, those two games are also available on physical discs.
Alan Wake 2 Released on October 17 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
