Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have named their newborn daughter Raha. On Thursday night, the actress shared an announcement along with a first look at the baby.
Alia Bhatt used her social media to share a family photo. In it, she can be seen losing focus with her actor husband Ranbir Kapoor as they hold their daughter. In the background, a jersey with the word “Raha” can be seen. Alia captioned the post, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has many beautiful meanings…Raha, in its purest form means sacred path/ In English Swahili, she is Joy/ In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan/ In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief/ in Arabic peaceful it also means happiness, freedom & happiness. And true to her name, from the first moment we hugged her – we felt it ALL!Thanks Raha, for giving our family life, it feels like it Our lives have only just begun.”
