Alright! Wendy’s is coming for the summer and indulge your tastebuds with a new menu item that customers have been begging for… and it’s finally arrived. After a bit of teasing on social media, Wendy’s has just confirmed its all-new Strawberry Frosty, which is the company’s first new flavor in three years.
June just started and Wendy’s is bringing it to customers something sweet to start the summer. @CNN reports, starting today, Strawberry Frosty will be available at all Wendy’s locations for a limited time. Temporarily replacing its vanilla flavor, Strawberry Frosty is only the second new frosting flavor to be added to the US menu in the last 16 years, when Vanilla Frosty was added in 2006. As the popular fast-food chain celebrates its 50th birthday, one Briefly Birthday Cake Frosty was added in 2019.
The decision to add the frozen strawberry flavor to the United States can be attributed to the success it enjoyed when it was added to Wendy’s menu in Canada last year — where it quickly became one of the “most popular dishes in the world.” most talked about” by the company, according to Wendy’s Chief Marketing Officer Carl Loredo.
From there, the company decided to test the new flavor in a number of cities, and the response was very enthusiastic. “It is remarkable that we ran out of the product midway because people loved it so much. It is very much expected [and] I dare say as expected before the launch of our spicy nuggets,” he said.
