MANALI: At least 20 people, including some students, were killed after a private bus fell into a gorge in Himachal Pradeshof the Kullu district at around 8 a.m. Monday.
The accident happened near Jangkla Morh in Sainj tehsil.
“The school bus goes from Kullu to Sainj on Neoli-Shansher Road in Sainj . Valley. The death toll could rise. The rescue process was underway when the incident occurred at about 8am. Children who go to school are also said to be on the bus, Kullu DC Ashutosh Garg.
According to reports, about 35-40 people were on this bus.
Rescue operations are underway at the scene of the accident. So far, 16 bodies have been recovered from the canyon.
