Bangladesh records highest monthly exports above $5 billion in November, Retail News, Retail ET
Bangladesh Exports were worth more than $5 billion in November, the highest ever in a month, as demand for ready-to-wear items continued to soar, according to the latest official data.
The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) data shows that Bangladesh exported goods worth USD 5,092.56 million in November, 26.01% higher than the same period a year ago, Xinhua News Agency report.
EPB data shows that Bangladesh’s total exports for the first 5 months of the current fiscal year 2022-2023 (July 2022 to June 2023) reached nearly $21.95 billion, up 10.89% from same period last year.
Out of total income, EPB data shows that the country’s income from knitwear and ready-to-wear goods rose 15.61% to $18.33 billion in the same period.
Official data shows that Bangladesh has seen exports increase by more than 34% to US$52.08 billion in the fiscal year 2021-22 (July 2021 to June 2022).
