BC News: Shooting at Williams Lake Stampede
Two people were injured and a third person is in custody following what the RCMP describes as a “public shooting” at a North BC horse race Sunday.
Police say they were called to the Williams Lake Stampede area around 3:30 p.m
“Two people with unspecified injuries were taken to a local hospital and one suspect is in custody. Preliminary information suggests this incident was targeted and there was no other risk to the public,” Mounties said in a statement.
“The investigation is in its infancy and no further information is available at this time.”
