Billie Lourd is heartbroken on the anniversary of Carrie Fisher’s death that she will never see her grandchildren

Billie Lourd miss mom.

Six years later Carrie FisherAfter her death, her only daughter is contemplating motherhood after giving birth to her second child. If you didn’t know, the 30-year-old woman welcomed a daughter of her own, Jackson Joanne Lourd Rydellearlier this month with my husband Austen Rydell. She called her at the time “Kingstonscreaming at her first son, of course. See below):

Obviously it was a fun occasion.

But now, just a few weeks later, Smart book The actress couldn’t help but grieve over the relationship her children should have developed with their grandmother. She explained in Tuesday’s post:

“It’s been 6 years since my mom passed away (feels like 2 but also like 705 at the same time?). And unlike most other years since her death, this year the past two weeks have been some of the happiest of my life. Having my daughter and seeing my son meet him are two of the most magical moments I’ve ever experienced. But with the magic of life tends to become the reality of grief. My mother is not here to meet either of them and is not here to experience any magic. Sometimes the magic moments can also be the hardest. That’s the thing about grief.

Ugh, we can only imagine how difficult it is… Especially since she’s so young! She continued:

“I wish my Momby was here, but she’s not. So all I could do was hold onto the magic tighter, hug my kids a little tighter. Tell them a story about her. Share her favorite things with them. Tell them how much she will love them.”

We’re sure that if Carrie was still around, she’d be the BEST, sassiest grandma out there! Her charm is undeniable, and it’s sure to be bittersweet for little Kingston and Jackson growing up knowing they’re related to the acting legend – but never getting to hang out with her. that. Billie ended her post sympathetically:

“For anyone out there going through the painful reality of life alongside the magic of life, I see you. You’re not alone. Don’t miss it either. Life can be magical and sad at the same time.”

While Billie grieves her mother, she is fortunate to still have her father, Bryan Lourd, to develop that special grandchild relationship. For the first time, he excitedly announced the arrival of his granddaughter Diversity Dealer Keynote Dialogue in Beverly Hills, California earlier this month. He told the store’s production manager Claudia Eller At a time:

“My daughter gave birth last night. I left the hospital at 1:30 and got there at 6am this morning. I’m a little tired, but happy.”

He added:

“Everything is great. So if I go for a hike, it’s because the adrenaline is still flowing.”

So sad for Billie and her kids… But Carrie’s memory and place in popular culture will say a lot about the kind of person she’s meant to be for her young grandchildren.
