Charlbi Dean’s mysterious sudden death explained

In case you didn’t know, her rep shared with NBC News that the actress (born Charlbi Dean Kriek) passed away from a “sudden illness” on August 29. The actress is making a bigger name this year with the lead role in the award-winning film Sad triangle. Poor girl didn’t even get to see the release in this state. She is only 32 years old. Disgusting.

Charlbi’s brother Alex Jacobs open about her death Rolling Stone at the time, revealed that she started experiencing “minor” symptoms and asked her fiancé, Luke Volker, to get her to the emergency room in New York City. However, she never got out of the hospital and died just a few hours later. He told the store:
“This happened literally in the span of a day: headache, going to bed, waking her boyfriend and saying please take me to the hospital. We are not entirely sure yet [what happened]. There’s an autopsy being done that we know can take quite a while. But what we heard [that] there’s a viral infection in her lungs.
Now, her official cause of death has been revealed, and it’s sad… A spokesperson for the New York City Medical Director’s Office shared with Everybody on Wednesday, Charlbi passed away from bacterial sepsis. But here’s the wild and messy part! According to the spokesperson, sepsis “was a complication of spleen deficiency (no spleen) resulting from a blunt blunt trauma to her trunk.”
See, Alex said Rolling Stone that his sister had been in “a very, very bad car accident” around 2009 where she broke her ribs and broke her back. At that time, doctors had to remove her spleen. He added:
“[The spleen is] related to fighting the infection, and that may have something to do with what happened. Her spleen isn’t there which only adds to why maybe she can’t fight it.”
So basically, the black lightning the star died from complications from a routine surgery she received over 10 YEARS ago! The New York City coroner’s statement provides some additional clarity on sepsis, noting that it was caused after Charlbi was infected with a bacteria known as Capnocytophaga. follow CDCThis type of infection is rare – but there are different species that can develop in the human mouth and are also found in the mouths of dogs and cats. People with autoimmune problems and without a spleen are more susceptible to Capnocytophaga.
It is not known whether the animal’s bite or lick was the cause of her infection as the medical examiner has not released the full autopsy report. However, the spokesperson shared that her death was ultimately believed to be an accident. OH. Such a tragedy…
