National team coach Chot Reyes has seen some positives as well as many negatives and will ramp up preparations for Gilas Pilipinas in the second phase of his European tour with Fiba (Basketball Federation). international) World Cup is about to take place.
The recent camp in Estonia was without a win, including an 89-85 loss to Finland on Wednesday, and with the National Team now headed to Lithuania, Reyes has determined exactly what the team needs to do and then that’s a number.
Reyes said: “Right now, we’re just continuing, little by little, to improve our condition, which is number 1. “NO. 2, all we’re going to do defensively is to do it.” fundamentals, engineering, mechanics, and making sure everyone understands our terms on the same page.”
“That’s why when we go to Lithuania we will have training sessions every two days, exactly, because those are the goals we’re trying to achieve,” Reyes added.
Reyes liked the way Gilas presented himself against Finland, as well as another draw with Estonia’s U-21 team even if the result didn’t come to the national team.

“Those are going to be good tests for us,” Reyes said.
Conditioning will indeed be one of the priorities in Lithuania, with several key players still a long way from what Reyes would like to see at the World Cup.
Justin Brownlee couldn’t finish the match against Finland because of cramps.
“There are a lot of positives in this game and there are definitely some negatives as well,” Reyes said.
