If you feel like the world of skin care is evolving rapidly, that’s because it’s happening. First hyaluronic acid, then vitamin C, then niacinamide, and now, we’re all talking about peptides. Recently, collagen-boosting skincare ingredients are popping up with a lot of new product launches and we have no complaints. But out of all the peptides that have popped up recently, it’s the Cocokind Restorative Polypeptide Cream that I’ll be reaching out for during the long winter. The rich, soft moisturizer benefits skin with moisture, firming and plumping — making it the ultimate source of TLC for dry skin this winter. Read on for my full review and why (spoiler alert) I think it should be in your skincare routine.

Full and firm polypeptide

But first, a crash course on peptides. “Peptides are the chains of amino acids that make up proteins,” explains Dhaval G. Bhanusali, MD FAAD, a board-certified dermatologist based in NYC. Dr Bhanusali explains: “Given their large size, they can penetrate the top layers of the epidermis (the surface layer of the skin) and can act as a signaling mechanism for the body — this can may include the production of collagen. Cocokind Resurrection Cream uses a plant-based polypeptide (a larger chain of linked peptides) to ensure that collagen proliferation signals are heard loud and clear — which is quite important because our skin loses weight. collagen as we age — so skin becomes firmer. more bounce, while lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced.

Resurrection plant extracts moisturize and protect

In addition to its amazing anti-aging benefits for mature skin, the Recovery Cream is packed with moisturizing ingredients to help reverse my winter dryness — like squalane to help support your moisture barrier to keep your skin hydrated. Preventing dehydration, watermelon seed oil is rich in antioxidants and most importantly, the resurrection plant extract for which the cream is named. Priscilla Tsai, founder of Cocokind, shares: “The resurrection plant is found naturally in the desert and can survive up to 7 years without water. Tsai shared that although it can lose up to 95% of moisture, the plants “regenerate” after being watered. In Resurrection Cream, the extract imparts some resiliency of its own to leave skin feeling protected from the effects of moisture loss, making it a true hydrating hero.

Verdict

For my combination skin, I love Resurrection Polypeptide Cream as a rich moisturizer at night. I layer the silky soft cream on top of the serum as the last step in my nightly ritual and my skin will absorb it while I sleep. In the morning, my skin feels baby soft—not greasy—and looks like I’ve used 12 hours more than it actually is. 5. Plus, the Resurrection Cream is actively receiving lots of reviews. 5 star rates for people from all skin types. who reported equally excellent results.

One Cocokind shopper said the Resurrection Cream helped with sensitive, dry skin, and excess oil, “I have been using this product for about three weeks and my skin just keeps getting better,” she wrote in a 5-star review. “This moisturizer is heavy enough to get rid of dryness but doesn’t leave my skin greasy. My skin texture is definitely improving.” We love seeing it!

Another reviewer suggested that the Resurrection Cream outperforms the more expensive creams! “This will be my new moisturizer,” she writes. “I think it can compete with any product I’ve ever used, including products like La Mer. This is a gem and a game changer for me!” This is the one that suits my ears, because at just $20, Easter Ice Cream is a more budget-friendly option. And a little goes a very long road (the brand recommends using a dime-sized amount for your entire face and neck), so one bottle should last for a while.
