Dead Space: How a Single Scene Was Made – IGN First


The Dead Space remake is a bona fide reimagining of the 2008 sci-fi horror. Yes, mostly faithful. EA Motive took the opportunity to improve on the original, and as a result, some sequences played out differently from what you remember. An early example is the moment where protagonist Isaac Clarke first sees a corpse turning into a pervert.

To learn how to create a new version of this sequence, we spoke with several members of the Dead Space team to explore their role in bringing the moment to life. Like every single moment in every video game, the end result is the product of people working together. This IGN First video reveals how people from various divisions combined their skills to create one of the game’s most terrifying sequences.
