The developers of (DOGE) have denied rumors that the network is immediately moving to proof of stake (PoS), saying that they are just planning to make a proposal on the subject. The denial came on December 29, from the Twitter account of Michi Lumin, Lead Engineer of the Dogecoin Foundation.
Lumin stated that the Dogecoin Foundation has no right to upgrade the network without validators’ consent, explaining:
