Dragon ball the characters have finally arrived Fortnite, Epic revealed via Twitter on Thursday morning. The announcement tweet shows Shenron – a glowing wish dragon summoned from genuine dragon balls – floating on what looks like the Tree of Reality. Skins are coming to the game on August 16, although we don’t know which characters will appear.
Shenron is one of many characters that have appeared in Dragon Ball. He is the earthly wish dragon in Dragon ball, seven dragon pearls, Super Dragon Balland even Dragon Ball GT (which is not canon). With Shenron spanning so many series, it’s really anyone’s guess which character will appear in the battle royale.
Obviously there are some safe bets for the characters – Goku will almost certainly be in the group, and Vegeta will likely show up. And with events close to the US release date for Dragon Ball: Super Hero, the franchise’s newest film, it looks like Gohan and Piccolo could also make an appearance. Both supporting characters take on central roles in the upcoming film.
As for the missions and in-game mechanics, we’re completely in the dark. It’s possible that players can collect Dragon Ball-themed weapons or summon Shenron in-game, but we won’t know for sure until next week.
