MANILA, Philippines — Naturalization Center Ange Kouame, Dwight Ramos and Kiefer Ravena will lead Gilas Pilipinas in rhythm matches against South Korea.
Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas on Sunday announced the Philippines’ 12-man squad for exhibition game scheduled for June 17 and 18 at Anyang Gymnasium in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
Joining the three were University of the Philippines goalkeepers Carl Tamayo, Ateneo’s Dave Ildefonso, SJ Belangel and Geo Chiu, Far Eastern University defenders RJ Abarrientos, Francis Lopez and Will Navarro.
Rookies Rhenz Abando, the reigning NCAA MVP from Letran, and Kevin Quiambao are also on the roster.
The games are part of Gilas’ build-up for the upcoming third window of the Fiba World Cup Asia Qualifiers.
The last time the Philippines and South Korea met was in June 2021 at the Fiba Asia Cup qualifiers, where The National team beat their opponents twice to win the tournament.
