Symptoms of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) may include bloating, cramping or abdominal pain, and diarrhea. EPI can be caused by diseases and conditions such as pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis, pancreatic cancer, and surgery of the pancreas or upper gastrointestinal tract.
