1. Clemson has more success ahead outside of the Southeast in the 2023 recruiting run.
Wright’s take: TRUTH. The Tigers’ 2023 enrollment class is special. It is ranked 8th nationally, backed by 17 4-star engagements. Clemson did a great job recruiting around the country, bringing in players from eight different regions. But much of the lion’s talent collection comes from the Southeast, with two from Florida and Alabama and 10 from Georgia. The Tigers are left with more damage to do to steal highly regarded rookies from the competitive ACC and SEC teams.
If I only picked one player to support my position, Alabama’s 4-star defense would be over Tomarrion Parker will be potential customers. Tennessee and Florida Still fighting for Parker’s commitment, but Clemson is expected to make his final official visit.
Strelow’s take: TRUTH. The points left in Clemson’s class were few and far between. But coincidentally, the bulls’ targets are located in the geographical area that has treated the Tiger well during this cycle. Parker will tackle the remaining hole where they need it most, while Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett four stars Kayden McDonald are in their wheels to puncture the country’s arguably best defensive settlement route.

2. LSU is on an uneasy alert when the State of Florida visits this weekend.
Wright’s take: TRUTH. If the odds providers in Vegas can give fans an idea of what to expect on Sunday, LSU entered the season opener at the Caesars Superdome on shaky ground. The Tigers are the favorite team with three points ahead of the following Seminoles FSU won the opening score 47-7 against Duquesne. Granted, the Dukes are an FCS team, the cupcake fodder for FSU. But still, Seminoles looks good taking care of business with a total of 638 yards while holding the Duke to 164 yards.
On the other side of the ball, head coach LSU Brian Kelly in a position he hasn’t had since 2010 while at South Bend, and that’s the field with a new team. We know talented tigers on their team. What we don’t know is how well that talent will play together in new shows under different coordinators. Plus, the Tigers entered fall camp with two starting back offenses and three defending while FSU had seven attackers and five defenders, bringing continuity to the new season.
Fishbein’s take: FICTION. LSU is a three-point favorite. If FSU really wins, would you call it a sadness? The Tigers have suffered 3-5 in the SEC and 6-6 in the regular season. They were blown away in a bowl match with Kansas State where it looks like half of their team isn’t playing.
LSU still has a lot of talent. The Tigers have one of the best receivers in Kayshon Boutte, who will give the FSU’s secondary all it can handle. They have a legitimate running threat at QB with transfers Jayden Daniels. They have one of the best defenses in the country. LSU is sure to win, but the disadvantage for teams is double-digit and straight loss. This match will be a single-player match before the fourth round, and the team with the fewest mistakes will win.

3. Georgia will drop two places in 2024.
Wright’s take: TRUTH. However, it can happen, I see Georgia landed two elite convertibles in the class of 2024. The mileage 2022 brings Branson Robinson and Andrew Pauland I believe Georgia will bring at least one runner back to school for the 2023 season, whether from the high school ranks or the port forward.
With 2024 DeMatha Catholic back in action Tovani Mizell verbally committed to UGA, this placement team is set to succeed. Offer has been launched to top Florida investors Jerrick Gibson, Cameron Davis, Stacy Gage, Anthony Carrie, Isaac Brown, Davion Gause, Arkese Park and Jordan Lyle. In a four-star state Micah Welch is another top Bulldogs target that will be a big win for Georgia when it lands.
May’s take: FICTION. Two defenders is probably the most likely scenario, but I can see the Bulldogs also have the ability to back three. The program can take both Kenny McIntosh and Kendall Milton after the 2022 season. There is always the possibility of losing someone to the remittance portal. Georgia had a commitment in Mizell. It is heavily pursuing other top targets such as Gibson, Anthony Carrie, Welch and others. Depending on how things go with the current squad, the possibility is definitely three defenders.
