Filipinas’ Sarina Bolden joins Australian club

MANILA, Philippines – Philippines women’s soccer team star Sarina Bolden has parted ways with Japanese club Chifure AS Elfen Saitama as she prepares to move to Western Sydney Wanderers FC in the A-League Women.
The WE League team on Wednesday announced that the Filipino striker had canceled her contract “after a mutual agreement”.
Bolden will play for Western Sydney Wanderers FC of the A-League Women.
She became the second national team member to play in the Australian league, joining Western United FC’s Jaclyn Sawicki.
Bolden made just four appearances for AS Elfen during the 2022-23 WE League season. She expressed gratitude towards her club since 2021.

“The time I spent at Elfen was the most challenging time of my life, and also the most rewarding time in my life,” says Bolden. “I want to thank all the players. I was stimulated and encouraged every day. I really appreciate this. I am grateful to the coaching staff for the countless hours they have spent helping to keep the team at their best and they are still working hard to have a great season.”
“I am a member of this club and I am proud to call myself a member of the Elfen team. I believe Elfen will continue to grow and become a club that does their best,” she added.
Bolden, who has scored 17 goals in 29 caps for the Philippines, is also gearing up for their historic Women’s World Cup next year.
