As you can see, we get new looks at Valisthea, the world of Final Fantasy XVI, and the individual kingdoms that stretch across. Here’s what the trailer reveals about each one:
- Grand Duchy of Rosaria: “A bastion of tradition”

There is also the Crystalline Dominion, “located at the heart of Valistea, built around the tallest of all the Mother Crystals, Drake’s Tail,” according to Final Fantasy XVI official website.
“It’s been fifteen years since the demise of our ancestors, and Valisthea has been slowly dying since then,” the trailer’s description says. “Darkness enveloped as day gave way to dusk, Mother’s fire now only flickering. And as the contours fade, people flock to the Mothercrystals. “
The trailer says that in 860, the Imperial Army will march on Rosaria and “from the carnage, a new shadow will rise, falling upon the Rulers, alluding to their fate, black as they are.” night.”
It is clear that some Dominions, humans connected to the power of the Eikon, who can essentially control and transform into these creatures, are not content to be treated and treated like humans. out in Valsthea. It looks like an uprising is about to happen, and the trailer calls it “the war of the Eikon”.
“I’m happy to announce that our latest trailer – Ambition – is now live,” Yoshida wrote in a press release. “Rather than focusing on the action as we did in the last reveal, this time we wanted to give the world a deeper look at the lore of Final Fantasy XVI and its rich cast of characters – with the Rulers front and center.”
Director Hiroshi Takai wrote in the press release that “as the game neared completion, the team focused on debugging and final tweaks.” He said that now that things are starting to come together, the game is being calibrated to be “something really special”. I tend to agree if this trailer is anything to reduce.
