MANILA, Philippines – Faith Nisperos had a pretty good Wednesday night with two MVP plums and a championship.
After that winning conference MVP, Nisperos scored 15 points for Ateneo to wipe out Adamson, 25-12, 25-22, 25-12, in game 2 of the V-League 2022 Women’s Team Finals at Paco Arena.
Nisperos took out 11 lives and four aces to take home the Finals MVP as the Blue Eagles dethroned the 2019 team champion.

The Blue Eagles dominated the third inning with a starting score of 11-3 and leading with an 11, 22-11, after Antonette Adolfo’s attack ended.
Lyann De Guzman burned through Ateneo’s three straight points to win the title.
De Guzman is also promoted with 11 points, six excellent dribbles and five excellent tackles, while Vanie Gandler has eight.
Ateneo coach Oliver Almadro was honored to be awarded the pre-season title but said it was just the beginning of their goal of reaching greater heights in the UAAP Season 85 women’s volleyball tournament next year.
“I am very happy but of course, this is not our end goal e. Our dream is to win the final or be in the top three of UAAP. Hopefully God will lead us there,” Almadro said.
“We also thank the V-League because they have this to hone our skills, our personalities and the cohesion of the team,” he added.
No one from Adamson scored twice as much as Ayesha Fuegos led with seven points coming in from the bench.
Riza Cruz has five points, while Adolfo and Kate Santiago each add four.
