Formula 1 has announced the Australian Grand Prix will stay in Melbourne until 2035.
A new 10-year deal from 2025 will also see Formula 2 and Formula 3 enter the weekend schedule for the first time from 2023.
In 2022, the event drew more than 419,000 fans to the Albert Park track for the race weekend, the largest number in a weekend sporting event in Australian history.
The venue has been on the Formula 1 calendar since the first race in Melbourne in 1996 and will remain an important part of the following calendar.
The date of next year’s Grand Prix will be confirmed once the 2023 calendar is finalized and will be subject to the approval of the World Motor Sports Council.

This weekend, the focus shifts to the Canadian GP, which begins Friday with its first practice sessions in Montreal.
The entire weekend’s coverage will be streamed on Sky Sports F1 and turn off the lights for the Sunday Grand Prix at 7pm, with guests preparing from 5:30pm.

F1 is working on deal to secure South African GP for 2023
Formula 1 is also working towards an agreement for South Africa to rejoin the racing schedule in 2023.
F1 President and CEO Domenicali flew to South Africa directly from Baku after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on Sunday to negotiate with local stakeholders, although any formal agreement could be weeks away. .
The race will be held at the Kyalami Grand Prix circuit, which hosted F1 until 1993.
F1 is aiming for a record 24 races calendar for next year, including a new street race in Las Vegas.
