Four-star LB Semaj Bridgeman breaks his commitment to Michigan
Michigan get a much-needed boost to their 2023 recruiting class with a commitment from the four-star quarterback Semaj Bridgeman. The Imhotep Institute Charter School of Philadelphia (Pa.) Was in Ann Arbor last month for an official visit and that was enough to lean towards the werewolves.
“I decided that the Wolves were the team for me because they showed me the plan they had for me during my official visit,” Bridgeman said. “They showed me the defense with my film, what I can improve and how I can help them run the defense. Academics are very important to my mother and me. throughout the process.Michigan has one of the best academies of programs.
“My relationships with Coach Helow, Coach Newsome and Coach LaTroy have been ongoing,” he said. They came to our showcase and showed love. They went to school and I was there and it had the same vibe. The love I got from them and the consistent relationship made me a driving force for them. Talk to Junior Colson also play a part.
“That’s life after football there,” Bridgeman said. “You’ll go there and perform and go to the tournament or you’ll go there in four years and get a good full-time job. That’s huge for me too.”
Bridgeman was a violent smasher who did a great job of stopping the ball carrier in his track. He has the overall agility and speed to be an effective cannonball and is constantly falling behind to make big plays outside. Consistency is the biggest thing with Bridgeman. He has the skill set to be a next-level big time player but he’s still raw in some areas. The next level coach will help Bridgeman focus on the finer points of his game. Once that happens, it will be difficult for coaches to keep Bridgeman on the field.
Michigan needed to reverse some of the negative momentum they had on the hiring path, and Bridgeman helped in a big way. These four stars will replace Rivals250 defender Raylen Wilson, who left the Wolverines last week and whose commitment could help Michigan recruit a talent-rich region where they’ve had a lot of success. in the past. Bridgeman is a well-known prospect in the Philadelphia area, and he’ll be working to recruit a number of Michigan targets he’s close to. Michigan will attract more defenders in this class but getting Bridgeman involved at this point in the cycle is key.
