From Fallen Order 2 to Mandalorian 3: What to expect from this weekend’s Star Wars Celebration

Star Wars celebrations begin tomorrow in Anaheim, California. I’ve had the pleasure of attending this show several times over the years and find it fun, enjoyable and one of the best places to go for those who are watching, thanks for the wealth of people Explorers, Jedi, and space asteroids roam the corridors.

Disney and Lucasfilm always bring a few surprises for Celebrations, and I have a feeling we’ll see a good number of them this year. The show runs until Sunday and will be packed with announcements. Here’s what I expect to see and how you can tune in to see the revelations as they unfold:

– Tuesday, May 26

New TV shows and movies
Most of us will probably watch the first two episodes of Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi This weekend and more information about this show and what’s next for TV and cinemas is likely to be shown in the coming weeks. Lucasfilm’s Studio Showcase at 11 a.m. PT. We’ll probably see the first trailer for Andorlive-action series filmed out of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, starring Diego Luna. Standing out against that background could be a look at the animated show’s second season, Bad lot. If Lucasfilm wants the live audience to explode, don’t be surprised if the rollout ends with a trailer for the third season of the show. Mandalorian (although this can be saved for Jon Favreau’s console later in the show).

These showcases are always filled with star power, and I have to assume Ewan McGregor will be there. Pedro Pascal is also capable with a Grogu animatronic in his hand. The biggest surprises will be getting information (and potentially teaser images) from Taika Waititi and Patty Jenkins’ announced Star Wars films.

The YouTube link below will take you to the showcase when the show begins:

What will come with books
After a short break, we’ll learn about the next series of Star Wars books and comics at Lucasfilm Publishing: A Story from a Far Galaxy, Far Away panelstart at 1 p.m. PT. We might get a look at Marvel Comics’ Obi-Wan prequel series, which shows him as a kid, as well as the upcoming installment. Mandalorian comic book adaptation. Lucasfilm’s official description to the board outlines the other publishers that will be involved: “From adult fiction to children’s comics, from Supreme Republic to the rise of Command one, here’s the place to dive deeper into stories from a galaxy far, far away.Introduce details about new and upcoming titles from Disney Lucasfilm Press, Del Rey, Dark Horse, and more! Includes all-new announcements and revelations from a galaxy far, far away!”

For your collection shelf
Statues, props and more collectibles will be discussed for a long hour and a half Star Wars Collection control panel, starting at 2:30 p.m. PT. The official Star Wars listing for this console promises “a surprise or two along the way.” My guess is we’ll see some Obi-Wan collectible announcements.

Supreme Republic
While we’ll learn a bit about The High Republic’s future in the publication panel, we’ll dive deeper into what’s next in the series. The High Republic: For Light and Life consolestart at 3 p.m. PT. The focus will be on Phase II of this ongoing lore: The Jedi Quest.

-May 27th

This one hour long Summer of Lego Star Wars panel unites Lego Group with Lucasfilm to discuss the recently released Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga video game, along with several upcoming announcements. We also expect new DLC to be shown to the game. Dashboard starts at 1:30 p.m. PT.

Black line
Hasbro always brings a few big action figure announcements to Celebration, and we have a feeling Obi-Wan will be a huge focal point this year. Rumor has it that a new Inquisitor lamp sword from the program is in the works. I also expect to see more from Black Series and Classic Collection here Star Wars Hasbro dashboard. News from it will start appearing when it appears at 3:30 p.m. PT.

-Saturday, May 28-

This is where we can see the most from Mandalorianof the third season. Both Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni will take to the stage to talk about the future of their show. We will probably also learn about other projects that revolve around it. Again, expect to see an animated Grogu. The Mando +: Conversations with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni dashboard starts at 11 a.m. pacific time.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2
The first Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game was announced during a panel, but it will feature a sit-down with the creative team that wasn’t on this year’s card. That said, I still think we’ll see a trailer hit the net one of the movie dates, along with a few more details. It could also be part of the show’s launch rollout from Lucasfilm, which will give it the biggest attention of the weekend.
