COLUMBIA – The University of South Carolina baseball team notched six runs in its first three innings and a top 15 hit of the season in a 9-4 win over North Carolina A&T Wednesday night (May 4) at Founders. Park.

Carolina won three in the first as Josiah Sightler made her ninth home mark of the season with two passes. Hits by Andrew Eyster, Braylen Wimmer and Michael Braswell plated two more runs in the frame. On the third turn, Wimmer drove on the second with a single swing to the left. A sacrificial Braswell fly and Colin Burgess double from the left sent the Gamecocks 6-0.

Evan Stone doubled the lead at Burgess in the fifth inning to make it 7-0 Carolina.
