God of War: Ragnarok players are finding poetic references to Sony’s biggest franchises
God of War: Ragnarok is out now, and as players journey through the Nine Realms of Yggdrasil, they’ll uncover many interesting secrets and lore about the God of War. God of War: Ragnarok includes a collectible suit called Kvasir’s Poems. There are 14 of them all hidden throughout the game, and each one is a reference to a different game that was at least at one point a PlayStation exclusive. Players have found poems related to Horizon: Zero Dawn, MLB the Show, Death Stranding, Unchartedand more.
The content of the poems is not the only reference, although reading through them it is quite clear what they are about. All of them have funny names, synonymous with the names of the aforementioned games; so, “Sunrise of Nothingness”, “Grand Social Ground Globe, Performance”, “Abandonment of the Afterlife” and “When pursuing a place not marked on the map. ” The poem refers to the Journey which is, interestingly, just “The Trip”.
We’ll let you figure them all out on your own, but here’s an example to give you an idea of how they’re structured:
