GTA 6 leaked footage used in Goat Simulator 3 ad, immediately taken down

A new trailer for Goat Simulator 3 appears to have been taken down by Take-Two after it incorporated leaked Grand Theft Auto 6 footage.

According to the report of Eurogamer, Coffe Stain North released a new trailer for Goat Simulator 3, though you’ll have a hard time finding it now after it was taken down by the DMCA. Reason? The trailer used leaked footage from GTA 6 as part of the video.

As reported by Eurogamer, the trailer begins with an NPC named Shaun, who is being mocked for his role as a ragdoll NPC in Goat Simulator 3. According to Shaun, he attended “rag doll school” -the most prestigious doll in the world.”

However, when asked about his other job, Shaun said he has “other things in the works, other big game worlds. You can actually see me in some footage that was leaked a few months ago.

Shaun then points to leaked GTA 6 clips that he himself edited. And here’s the footage that led to Take-Two releasing the takedown trailer.

Screenshot of the Goat Simulator Twitter account showing the trailer now has a black screen with the familiar text “This media has been disabled as reported by the copyright owner.”

The GTA 6 leak is from September when Rockstar Games confirmed the authenticity of a series of clips found online. Rockstar worked to remove the footage from the internet calling it “original development footage” that was illegally taken from their systems.

The studio said that despite the leak, “development of the next Grand Theft Auto game will continue as planned.”
