Henry Silva, actor best known for Oceans 11 and The Manchurian Candidate, dies aged 94
Legendary actor Henry Silva passed away of natural causes, a day before his 95th birthday.
Silva starred as the title character in 1963 Johnny Cool, one of his most memorable roles. He plays a Sicilian outlaw assassin who comes to America to hunt down and exact revenge on his mentor’s enemies.
He also appeared in the original Ocean’s 11 1960s movie with Free Sinatra and other members of the rat pack –– such as Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. He plays one of 11 thieves.
Most people will remember Silva’s on-screen clash with Sinatra in Manchurian candidate. The pair engaged in an intense on-screen martial arts fight, cementing Silva’s status as a 1960s movie icon and true A-list celebrity.
