Here are some inspirations on how to keep up with the checkered fashion trend
Despite the fact that current trends can make things look like new again, checkerboard prints have been around for thousands of years. Fashionably, this print has been recycled for years, first appearing in print in the 1950s and 1960s, then reappearing in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Chessboard is not one of those print trends that disappear as quickly as you can get your hands on it. When you take something with a historical context and give it a fashion twist to make it relevant to today’s audience, that content is likely to get a lot of love because it’s a clear and classic image. With the rise of grunge and Y2K trends, today’s trends are reminiscent of the fashions of the 1990s and early 2000s. So it’s no surprise that checkers are making a strong comeback, too.
