Houston crime: 112 kilograms worth of $2 million found in mobile home near Scenic River Drive
Harris County delegates responded to a call stemming from a woman saying she was impacted and unable to care for her 2-year-old son in the 11600 block of Scenic River Drive.
When police arrived, the woman was discovered cooking meth and discovered that the house was being operated as a fully functional crystal meth lab by HPD’s High Hazard drug lab unit, who had been at the scene for hours.

SkyEye above the scene recorded video of officers wearing hazmat suits and using oxygen tanks to get into the house safely.
According to the HCSO Special Investigation, approximately 112 kg of crystalline meth and 87.2 kg of liquid meth were recovered.
Neighbors were shocked at the bust and the potential danger to them.
Artemio Hernandez said: “It’s crazy. “It’s dangerous. I can’t believe it. I can’t believe it. I don’t know what happened to this family.” He added the woman and her family had recently moved in.
Both the woman and the child were taken to the hospital. The child was then placed in Child Protective Services. The woman is facing federal charges.
