One of the biggest surprises to come in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a brand new area on the map. Not only can you explore the sky above Hyrule, you can also delve into deep below and traverse an equally vast area.
Similar to the shrines located throughout Hyrule above, The Depths has a series of fast-moving points that you can activate in the dark called Lightroots. Each Lightroot is located directly below an upper templemeaning you can find them based on the location of the shrine or vice versa.
How many Lightroots are there?
only one total 120 Lightroots located in The Depths, which directly correlates with all 120 temples located on the surface of Hyrule. Not only are all the Lightroots located directly below the temples, the name of each Lightroots is actually the same as the name of the temple above, but in reverse.

How to find all Lightroot locations in Tears of the Kingdom
Because the Lightroots are located directly below shrines throughout Hyrule, the easiest way to locate them is to mark temple points on the map above and make your way to them below. Also, if there are any Lightroots you find in The Depths lying underneath an unexplored temple, you can do the same to find the temple quest above.
