I tried Garnier Micellar Cleansing Jelly for acne prone skin

tThe best-selling micellar water in the United States just got a sibling: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Jelly Water, a next-generation product based on the French pharmaceutical staple designed for acne-prone skin and will cost you just north of $7.

Formulated with activated charcoal to reduce excess oil while unclogs pores, this sticky, yet non-sticky, face wash acts as a makeup remover and toner in one. It has a true jelly texture and meets all the “generally safe for all skin types” criteria in that it is made with no oils, fragrances, parabens, or silicones (plus, it’s pure). vegetarian!).

Truly in a class of its own (we can’t say we were when have seen a product like this before), the formula gives you the best of both micellar water and an activated charcoal cleanser. Micellar water is known as one of the gentlest ways to remove dirt from your skin and uses “micelles” (also known as oil particles suspended in water) to draw out dirt and makeup. Does not cause dryness or peeling of the skin. Charcoal, on the other hand, is used to remove impurities by binding and absorbing excess oil. Therefore, if you are prone to breakouts, this could be your new best friend for an oil-free makeup remover and double cleanse.

To put it to use, simply dab it on a cotton pad or washcloth and swipe away. You can also massage it into the skin with just your fingers, which gives it an edge over classic micellar water formulas that require some kind of medium (usually cotton pads) to apply. Use it to remove makeup, or simply to clean off oil, dirt, sweat, SPF, and anything else that pops up during the day.

While geared towards more oily skin types, it’s still gentle enough for me to use on my dry winter face — but I can definitely feel the firming, firming effect that I don’t. obtained with micellar water or oil-based makeup removers. It can’t stripped, but definitely makes my skin tighter and there’s a noticeable difference in feel between this and Garnier’s Classic Micellar Cleansing Water. So this is a product I’ll be saving for the warmer months when my sebum production remembers it’s supposed to and continues to function properly. But my oily skin girls? This one is for you—and the texture is just the beginning of what you’ll love about it.
