Jay Leno is passing after a terrifying car fire leaves him severely injured — but sadly the fight isn’t over yet…
As we reported earlier, the actor is being treated at a burn center after a serious accident last Sunday. One of his employees said Access Hollywood Jay was working on a steam car when gas was sprayed on it and it caught fire. Because of this, the comedian canceled all his bookings for at least the next two weeks. He was scheduled to appear at a conference for Financial brand later that same day; the organizers were only told that there was a “very serious medical emergency” – but apparently now they know! Too scared!

Aimee Bennettspokesperson of Grossman Burn Centerissued a statement on Monday:
“Jay wants everyone to know that he is in stable condition and being treated… for burns to his face and hands from a petrol accident in his garage over the weekend. He was very funny and touched by all the questions about his condition as well as best wishes. [He] wanted to let everyone know that he’s doing well and is at ‘the best burn center in the United States’.”
Rub! We’re so glad he’s okay!
TV personality who talked to TMZ from the burn center on Monday and reassured fans that he was okay – although he will be in the unit for five to ten days. He told the shop he was fixing a clogged line in a 1907 white Steam Car when gas was sprayed. The comic says it covered his hands and face before a spark caused an explosion that set him on fire.

Fortunately, the 72-year-old man reports his good friend dave was there to help. His friend jumped in and extinguished the fire, saving his life. Based on Page Six, Leno is suffering from 3rd degree burns and may even need a skin graft to save his face and hands. It’s not clear how these injuries might affect him — and his ability to drive a car — but the most important thing that worries his family, loved ones, and fans. that he is alive and recovering.
We wish Jay a speedy recovery and hope he can get back to doing what he loves soon.
