Jimmy Barnes spends Christmas recovering from surgery with family by his side

Jimmy Barnes Will spend Christmas with family as he recovers from his tired back and hip surgery.

The Australian rocker shared some fun photos with Twitter overnight, saying, “There’s no place like home. Feet are healing in a room with a view.”

“I get visits from my favorite elves who are with them for Christmas, the perfect age for that. I don’t want to be anywhere else,” he continued.

The photos show Barnes sitting in front of the Christmas tree with his grandchildren, as well as one of him resting his feet on a bed with a stunning view from his bedroom window.

He shares his joy at going home somewhere else tweet posted yesterday, waving excitedly outside his house while leaning on a cane.

“I’m home. A little sore but happy. Thank you everyone for all the support. I’ll be the guy to celebrate Christmas gently,” he shared.

The 66-year-old was expected to perform many shows across the country in 2023 but was forced to Canceled gigs for back and hip surgery for chronic pain relief.

“I jumped out of PA’s [public address systems] and stood still for almost 50 years, but it finally caught up with me,” Barnes explained in one video posted on his Instagram on November 29th.

He continued: “I have had back and hip problems for many years, but things have suddenly gotten so much worse over the past few weeks and things have suddenly become really painful and severe. .

“As everyone knows, canceling or postponing performances is against my religion, but the doctors told me I needed surgery as soon as possible and it would really limit my movement. me in the next few months,” he continued.

“Even if it kills me, I have to fix this so I can dance on stage for the next 50 years. See you when I get back.”

He had surgery a week ago, and has shared many pictures of his recovery since then.
