As the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation trial draws to a close, Depp’s ex-girlfriend Kate Moss spoke out on Wednesday.

Depp, 58, is suing Heard, 36, for defamation in Fairfax County Court in a December 2018 affidavit she wrote in The Washington Post describing herself as “a figurehead for the domestic abuse”. His lawyers say he was defamed by the article even though it never mentioned him by name.

Depp is seeking $50 million in damages, while Heard is claiming her former partner $100 million.

Moss, a 48-year-old former supermodel – who was romantically involved with Depp from 1994 to 1998 – testified in court about an incident in which she fell down the stairs and was saved by Depp.

In earlier testimony, Heard mentioned Moss when she described a fight in which she admitted punching Depp when she thought he was going to push her sister down the stairs.

“Whitney went back up the stairs, and Johnny swung at her,” Heard said at the time. “I don’t hesitate, I don’t wait… I just think of Kate Moss and the stairs. And I swung my arm at him.”

On Wednesday, in a very brief testimony, Moss said that she and Depp were in Jamaica during their relationship, and it was raining. She said then slid down the wet stairs in their room, and Depp ran to pick her up, carry her to her room, and get medical attention. She flatly denied that Depp pushed her downstairs and said he never did at any point during their time together.

Testimony contradicts Heard.

After Moss, Dr Shannon Curry returned to the stage to refute the testimony of clinical psychologist Dr Dawn Hughes, who had previously said during the trial that Curry had presented inaccurate information about his mental state. Heard’s god.

Curry hit back at Hughes, saying that it was she who made the incorrect conclusions and test results about Heard. Curry claimed, through his test results, that Heard had no and “never suffered from PTSD” as a result of abuse at the hands of Depp.

Heard’s attorney reiterated that Dr Hughes spent more than 29 hours with Heard and interviewed Heard’s mother, and had a complete, comprehensive understanding of the actor’s mental health.

After a brief morning break, Depp returned to the stands to face follow-up questions.

Depp denied Heard’s earlier claim that he consumed between eight and ten MDMA pills on the night of the infamous Australian melee.

Heard had previously told the jury that Depp had penetrated her with a bottle of alcohol that night. Depp had previously testified that he lost the tip of his finger that night, claiming that Heard threw a bottle of vodka at him and it hit him in the arm.

Depp’s attorney revisited the couple’s honeymoon – a trip in July 2015 aboard the Orient Express. Heard had previously told the court that Depp had strangled her while on the train.

Depp was shown photos from that trip and he testified that he went black after his ex-wife beat him.

Depp describes his relationship with Heard’s older sister, Whitney.

“I liked her so much and I grew to love Whitney… (she) always seems to get dirty endings.”

Whitney was a “trusted sister and friend, then a henchman, and then a punching bag or a dart board, or the recipient of very bad or humiliating words,” he explained.

Depp said although he had never seen Heard directly attack her sister, he said he had seen Heard push Whitney around and verbally abuse her.

He also testified that Heard threw alcohol in his sister’s face on one occasion.
