Josh Duhamel are ahead of the game.
The actor can live in Hollywood, where he gets to live his dream of becoming Jennifer LopezIn’s husband Unexpected wedding and fight with alien robots in Transformers – but if that happens, he’s willing to trade all that for living off the grid.

In an interview with inverse Last week, the 50-year-old shared that he was working to build a disaster-ready site deep in the wilderness in the event of a “doomsday” event. He told the store:
“I guess I became a doomsday preparer.”
This is not to say that Josh feels a storm is coming or has any immediate plans to leave the limelight. But he wants some insurance if that day comes. He shared:
“I am learning how to hunt. I fish. I’m building something so that if things go south, I have a place to take my family.”
Honestly, it’s not a bad idea! Maybe he’s watching Our last! LOLz!
The Life as we know it the star shared that he got his hands dirty while building the land in North Dakota, which sits on a lake in the middle of nowhere:
“I have a tractor. I have a sliding steering wheel. I am changing tires. I’m changing the oil. I’m fixing everything. I’m moving earth, I’m smashing rocks. There’s a two-mile path through the woods to get out of there. When you see that lake, it’s like your blood pressure drops by 25 percent.”
On how the property came into being, he explained:
“It all started with a small cabin in the woods with no electricity and no water. We’re leaving and we don’t want to stay more than a day or two. You could tell that the rats got over it. It excites Tom. Then the bungalow on the land next to it was for sale, and I bought it for nothing; This beautiful little idyllic cabin on the water. Suddenly I have 54 acres out there. So I have two cabins, one with no electricity or water. Now both have wells and electricity, but both are very small. We shape the land. We have created trails through it. I’m actually farming out there.”
He proudly added:
“We started with clover, chicory and other stuff, mostly just to feed the deer. You know, this is my first time plowing a piece of land, plowing the ground and sowing seeds. This year I will plant pumpkins and corn.”

Wow, props for Josh! That sounds like a TONS of work! But it’s all worth it for him to make sure his family will have a safe place in the event of a “fan hit”. He explained:
“I have a crazy decision about what if that happens if the fans are in LA and I have to get my family out there and live out of the country.”
The Buddy Game: Spring Awakening The director added:
“We have water. We have fuel. I’m building something so that if things go south, I have a place to take my family. And I believe we can live off the land out there. I’m still not very good, but I’m getting there.”
Looks like he’s on his way!
Josh is married to Fergie from 2009 to 2019, both welcomed a son axis in 2013. He got remarried to the model Audra Maribut we’re sure that if things go south, he’ll reserve some room in that extra cabin for his baby mom.
