Judge Denies Ambyr Childers Injunction Against Ex Randall Emmett – It’s All Technical??
A judge refused Children of Ambyr‘ ask for a domestic violence restraining order against ex-husbands Randall Emmett.
In case you need to repeat, the 34-year-old actress was married to the film producer from 2009 to 2017 and has two daughters with him, a 12-year-old. London and 8 years old Rylee. As we previously reported, the mother-of-two continued to question how far her ex and his lawyer could “take” her out, explaining that she was threatened by “decisiveness and desperation” in their correspondence:
“If it’s not to torture my body, is the money to trap me? Is that some kind of bribe to law enforcement? Given Randy’s history of illegal and/or terrifying activity, there’s no arguing and every possible explanation makes me fear for my safety.”
In addition, she added in court papers how Randall had emotionally and physically abused her during their eight-year marriage, saying, he ” would put his arm around my neck and tell me I could never leave him.”
Since the October filing, things have only gotten more complicated and it looks like the legal troubles are far from over. Randall went so far as to declare Page Six in November, Ambyr and his other ex la kent worked together to create a smear campaign against him and that he was indeed the victim:
“Ambyr’s claims now stem from her friendship with my ex-fiancée, Lauren Burningham [AKA Lala Kent] my youngest daughter’s mother, Ocean. … Lauren and I are in the midst of a very controversial custody lawsuit in which Lauren has made false accusations of abuse, even though she has never filed a DVRO Claim against me, because she knew she was not a victim of abuse. If anyone has been a victim of abuse in this relationship, it’s me.
Ban You The actress’s submission was temporarily denied due to lack of evidence, but both sides agreed to wait until Tuesday’s hearing. According to documents obtained by the company, the hearing from this week ended with a formal denial. One judge cited “confidential communication between attorney and client” because the email was forwarded to Childers “accidentally”, thus deeming it “unacceptable”.
So all because the alleged email was sent by accident and Ambyr shouldn’t have been included in the conversation, this technicality stipulates that the alleged threat doesn’t count.
On the Wednesday following the hearing, Emmett issued a statement to Page Sixspeak:
“My priority has always been and will continue to be my children.”
