Justin Bieber urges fans not to buy H&M ‘trash’ – National
Justin Bieber was upset when H&M sold clothes with his pictures and lyrics, saying the fast fashion giant didn’t ask his permission to put his face on their clothes.
The Canadian pop star used her Instagram story to call the retailer on Monday, calling the clothes “trash”.
Bieber wrote, “The H&M merchandise they make from me is trash and I don’t approve of it,” encouraging his 270 million followers to avoid buying it.

“I do not endorse any of the merchandise collections they display at H&M,” he wrote in another slide. “All without my permission and approval.”
Outfits in the Hennes & Mauritz AB collection include T-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies featuring Bieber’s face, branding and lyrics, Bloomberg reported.
An H&M representative denied Bieber’s claims, telling CNN “as with all other licensed products and partnerships, H&M has followed appropriate approval procedures.”

However, H&M said separately that it had stopped selling Bieber-related products and that they were no longer available in their online stores.
Bieber previously partnered with the world’s second-largest fashion retailer, allowing them to sell merchandise from his 2017 Purpose tour, as well as a follow-up collection in the same year.
This is not the first time the brand has faced backlash from a Canadian music star. In 2018 Toronto’s The Weeknd said he would no longer work with H&M after they used a photo on their website of a Black boy wearing a hoodie that read “Coolest monkey in the woods.” .
