MANILA, Philippines—RJ Abarrientos and Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus enjoyed a festive night as they beat Daegu KOGAS Pegasus, 76-70, on Christmas Sunday in the Korean Basketball League at Dongchun Gymnasium.
Abarrientos put Ulsan in a good mood with 12 points, 3 rebounds and 1 steal to win.
Gauge Prim also scored 14 points and 3 rebounds while Lee Woo-Seok scored a brace with 13 points and 12 goals to help Mobis Phoebus reach a record 15-9. Ulsan climbed to second place just one match behind the leader of the group Anyang KGC (16-8).
However, SJ Belangel struggled with just 3 points and 2 assists in the loss that dropped Daegu’s record by 10-15.
Ethan Alvano and Wonju DB Promy also suffered the same fate as Belangel at Christmas when they lost to Suwon KT SonicBoom with a score of 77-64 at Suwon KT Arena.
Alvano still had a solid start with 14 points and 4 assists but Wonju lost with a 10-15 card.
Former import PBA Lester Prosper supports Suwon with 17 points.
