As Riot Games’ two biggest releases, League of Legends and valuablehit Game Pass next week, there’s going to be a very strong incentive for people to link their Riot accounts to their Microsoft accounts: per subscriber Laugh out loud champion, and every single valuable agent, will be unlocked.
For now, since those games are free to play on PC, unless you want to grind, you have to pay for those, and that’s how Riot makes money. But because you’ve already paid for Game Pass, and because Microsoft wants to give you a reason to play through them, everyone gets everything for free, instantly.
No separate version of the game will be offered; instead, all players need to do is link their Riot account to their Game Pass account and then everything will be unlocked from there. Future characters will also be made available “as soon as they are released”.
The deal not only covers Riot’s top two games, it will also apply to Legend of Runeterra, Team Tactics and coming soon League of Legends: Wild Rift (although what you get of course varies from game to game).
