Police leading the investigation Madeleine McCann have revealed the real reason they examined soil samples collected from the Algarve Dam during their recent search.

The police searched the spot from afar the convicted rapist and pedophile called his “little paradise” and discovered a “item number” which can be associated with Missing person case of all.

Search teams also dug deep holes to take soil samples to compare with soil samples in the records of suspectvan, sources told daily mirror.

German prosecutors first linked Christian B to the remote beauty site through unpublished photos.

Sources say proving that Christian B. visited Barragem do Arade in May 2007 could be “the crux” of the case.

A source said: “Image quoted in German police investigate Maddie’s disappearance to the reservoir.

“One of their focuses now is to close the net around Brueckner by showing through soil sample analysis that his truck was there.

“A positive fit of the land they had from the car with Earth they pulled out in the search last week will be another key piece of evidence against him.

“It will be a minor setback if the forensics team doesn’t find a match, but at this stage there is still hope.

“The search that took place last week would never have been requested and authorized if its engines were not well supported.”

The site is a 45-minute drive from the Praia da Luz holiday apartment where Madeleine was arrested in May 2007.

German and Portuguese search teams spent several days in the area after a “very reliable” tip last month.

Police were found removing what appeared to be large brown bags of evidence from the search site.

Meanwhile, the village where suspect Christian B lives may hold important clues for the case while detectives believe there are probably at least two other fields search.

Christian B, 45, is considered a prime suspect in 2020.

Police revealed that he was in the area when she disappeared while on vacation with her family in Portugal in 2007.

He is currently serving a seven-year sentence in Germany for raping a pensioner in Praia da Luz – the same area in Portugal where Maddie went missing.

He was charged with three counts of aggravated rape and two counts of child molestation, in alleged crimes spanning 17 years between 2000 and 2017.

The German was also involved in at least three rapes and a series of groping in the area between December 2000 and June 2017.

Christian B, has denied any involvement in Maddie’s disappearance and insists the allegations are a “fairy tale”.

Last week it emerged that Catholicism Bis said to have told his old friend Helge Buschling that “she doesn’t scream” right after Maddie disappeared in Portugal.

Buschling is who first gave the police the name of Christian B related to the missing girl case.
