Marvel Snap maybe only two months old, but it started with a bang. The card-based fighter from the back mind heater very quickly became part of the massive, assembled and zeitgeist army of players, with it all responding in the universe. In response to all of this, the developer of Second Dinner has outlined the game’s plan for the short, medium and long term, and its lofty long-term ambitions.

Be forewarned: No, none of these plans include completely changing the game deep price structure and battle cards are too expensive. But I live in hope. Still, they all sound like pretty cool updates.

Short time

In short, we’ve got mentioned beforeBattle mode vs friends,” where a unique game mode grants each player 10 health, gained or lost through a series of battles against a friend. This was set to launch “within the next two months” in early November, though now it looks like it will release “in the next month or two”. So don’t write it in your diary.

Change name is the option to…wait it…change your name. No details on how often you can, but since there’s no stat tracking or competition (although obviously a must), it shouldn’t be difficult for anyone if you change it in every match.

Artist Credits and Details of infinite division mod which means that the game will eventually give credit to the creators of the artwork for each card variant, as well as explaining what the hexagons really mean on each upgraded card after Infinity.

The second dinner will also support more Russian and Vietnamese languages in the near future.

A PC user interface is essential.

Mid-term

The second dinner describes the following features as “under development”, as opposed to those above which are in the final stages of debugging and cleanup. This means that they all come with the caveat that such plans can change dramatically once they start operating.

At first it seems that it is not the most complicated problem, is an option for a PC widescreen user interface. Well, just draw a wider background and spread the icons out a bit. I should be in charge. But yeah, this is pretty important, since the PC version now launches in a vertical window in the middle third of your screen.

smart floor is a feature intended to help you build a deck based on a smaller number of cards. The idea is, if you have a few cards that you think complement each other well, but don’t know how to add them to a full 12-card deck, the game will suggest them for you. Sounds like a great feature for I to have, but it seems very difficult to give it out everyone else.

Unrated mode is something that I was quite surprised the game didn’t launch. As you might have guessed, it’s kind of a “friendly” mode, allowing you to try out new decks in battle without risking your Rank and Blocks. However, quite surprisingly they intend to let this contribute to the completion of the Quest, which… doesn’t sound right to me. I wanted a friendly mode, but I find it odd that removing all the competitive risks would allow people to unlock higher ranked cards.

At the same time, Second Dinner teases something called Competition mode, will “use Battle Mode in exciting new ways,” even though that doesn’t mean anything. There is no further information on this yet.

Route information in the list.

long-term

These are the plans that Second Dinner calls “In Ideas,” which means “In Our Imaginations.” They are ideas on paper, but not yet developed, and they invite feedback on them, seeming to prefer that. through their Discord. There are no details on any of them, so here is the list:

  • Guild (Social System)
  • Infinity leaderboard
  • Collectible Emojis & Card Emojis
  • Myth Variation
  • Magnet booster
  • Avatars & Deck Titles
  • PC controller support
  • Improved seasonal cache
  • In-game events

Let me provide some helpful insight into these. Screw Guild—we don’t need a way for players to talk to each other about everything. Screw infinity leaderboard—that’s just a list of the game’s biggest whales. Bolt collectible emojis and emoticons—just add more emojis to the base game. But Second Dinner has my blessing on the rest, though I reserve judgment on what any Booster Magnet might be.

More logically, I’d say that in-game events should take precedence over everything else throughout this article, as they should be the factor that prompts people to return to the game after the initial echo fades. lost (that is, to be honest, anytime now). Especially if the developers are stubborn with the overpriced season tickets, which few people will mind if they continue to act so offensive.

For all my grumbling, I still play it every day, without fail, because it’s absolutely amazing.
