Insomniac Games has announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will launch on PlayStation 5 in the fall of 2023.
Revealed in one Blog PlayStation Posted, the long-awaited sequel to 2018’s Spider-Man seems to stick to the promised 2023 release year.
Insomniac creative director Bryan Intihar said: “What a year for PlayStation Studios. “Here at Insomniac Games, we greatly admire the work of our colleagues. Congratulations to everyone on a successful 2022 and it is going to be an equally exciting year as we continue. get Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 ready for release next year.”
The developer reassured fans about the October release window but, because delays are quite common in the video game industryMany fear that the sequel will be pushed back to 2024.
Spider-Man 2 announced by Sony as a PS5 exclusive in September 2021promises a sequel to the story of Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they face a new (but familiar) enemy in Venom. The villain’s voice actor promises that “the game is huge” and Marvel Entertainment’s vice president of creative, Bill Rosemann, and commented that Spider-Man 2 will be “dark” a bit more than the previous two parts.
It will serve as the first main entry in the PlayStation’s Spider-Man series since the original, but the Miles Morales spinoff was released for PlayStation 4 and as a PS5 launch title in November 2020. .
