Warning: The following article contains spoilers of Destiny 2.

destiny 2 revealed the return of a main character in its upcoming expansion, The Final Shape.

A new teaser trailer (above) for the game’s upcoming expansion has revealed the return of a long unseen fan-favorite character.

Cayde-6 (voiced by Nathan Fillion) will return in The Final Shape, Destiny 2’s next expansion following the recent Lightfall expansion.

In the video, he is seen chatting with Ikora Rey, one of his fellow Guardians and one of the original three Pioneers of the class. But how he came back is still a mystery… and it may not be a permanent thing.

“Wish you could be there,” Ikora said, recounting some of the events that happened during Cayde’s absence. “I’m here now,” he replied. “Wherever it is.”

Cayde-6 was significantly destroyed in the previous Destiny 2 expansion, Forsaken where the iconic Hunter Vanguard was brutally murdered by Uldren Sov after his soul was destroyed by Scorn.

IGN’s Destiny 2 Review gave it an 8/10 and said: “Destiny 2 is an incredible success thanks to its excellent co-op shooter gameplay and strong storytelling in the campaign. Not all of the features I’d expect to find here, but it offers the same highly social gameplay and rewarding, loot-based progression that helped the original keep me hooked. captivated for hundreds of hours.”
