NBA All-Star Game Fan Voting Begins Tuesday

NEW YORK – Fans vote to help determine the starting lineup for the 2023 NBA All-Star Game that will begin Tuesday and run through January 21, the league announced on Thursday.
The 72nd NBA All-Star Game will take place on February 19 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Fans can choose three quarterback players and two bodyguards for both the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference.
The five starting players for each elite squad will be selected by a combination of votes from fans, players and media consoles, with supporters’ votes taking up 50% while votes cast Player and media votes will be worth 25%.
Fans can vote multiple times while players and reporters vote once. The total number of fan votes will act as a mediator to decide which landing.
There will be six “3 to 1” days when fan votes are tripled, the first day being on December 25.
NBA All-Star Game starters, including the two captains, will be revealed on January 26 with substitutes, selected by the NBA head coach, to be announced on January 2 2.
The team captain will be the player with the highest total votes from the East and the West.
Those two will select the same starting from the talent pool determined by voting, regardless of conference affiliation.
Team LeBron James has won all five NBA All-Star games since the format began, beating teams selected by Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant.
