NBA: Chris Paul, Suns run runs out of Lakers

In a game without much star power, Chris Paul scored 28 points and made eight assists on Monday as the Phoenix Suns clinched a 130-104 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Deandre Ayton had 21 points and 11 rebounds and Mikal Bridges added 20 as the Suns won without All-Star guard Devin Booker, who was sidelined with a groin injury one game after scoring 58 points before the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Suns are also without Cameron Payne for the third straight game because of a sprained right foot. Ayton is back after missing two games because of a sprained left ankle.
Dennis Schroder scored a top 30 of the season for the Lakers, who are playing without LeBron James (left ankle) and Anthony Davis (right foot pain). Los Angeles is also free of Russell Westbrook (left foot pain) and Austin Reaves (right ankle sprain).
Davis is out of action for at least two weeks.
The Suns had a much easier time overcoming all the staffing issues, leading 38-24 at half-time and taking a 68-44 lead at halftime after shooting 50. % (23 of 46) off the field before halftime.
Phoenix leads 99-77 after three quarters as all five starters hit double digits in terms of goalscoring record.
