NBA: Nikola Jokic Nuggets’ Monster Double Power Overcoming Hornets

Nikola Jokic has hit the top of his career with 27 rebounds — including a franchise record of 20 in the first half — along with 40 points and 10 assists for his fifth double of the season. , and the Denver Nuggets host beat the Charlotte Hornets 119-115 on Sunday night.
20 rebounds in one inning is the second most in NBA history since 1996-97. Kevin Love holds the record with 22 and a half innings.
The only other player in NBA history to have at least 37 points, 27 rebounds and 10 assists in a game is Wilt Chamberlain.

Aaron Gordon finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 20, Bruce Brown added 16 and Jamal Murray added 11 assists for Denver.
LaMelo Ball scored 31 points, Gordon Hayward had 15 points and 10 bounces, Kelly Oubre Jr. scored 16, Jalen McDaniels had 14, Mason Plumlee and Nick Richards each had 11 and PJ Washington scored 10 for Charlotte, who had lost eight consecutive games.
The Hornets took a 12 lead in the second half, but Denver finished the first half 17-4 to take a 55-52 lead after a break.
The lead rose to 11 by the beginning of the third season. Charlotte won in the ninth round, but a 3-pointer from Gordon made it 80-64 with 5:15 remaining, and the Nuggets led 94-80 in the fourth inning.
The Hornets tried to start the final inning, when Richards had two pitches to drag Charlotte in the 97-90 round. Jokic hit a 3-pointer, but the Hornets scored 5 in a row to get through to round 5.
Two free throws and another 3-pointer from Jokic made it 105-97, but Plumlee made two free throws and fed Oubre three to reduce the score to three. Washington missed a 3-pointer that should have been tied with the score remaining at 2:42, and Gordon made a reverse and Jokic made a sink hook to make it 111-104 with 1: 57.
Charlotte hit Washington’s pitch within two with 13.5 seconds left but Jokic scored with two free throws.
